This Privacy Policy explains how SubSense PRO ("SubSense PRO", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our mobile applications, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Scope

This Policy applies to information processed through SubSense PRO on iOS, Android, and our website. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or products that may be linked from our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, sign-in method (email/password or Google Sign-In).
• Profile and preferences: app settings, language, currency, reminder preferences, and consent choices (including marketing opt-in if provided).
• Subscription and trial data: service names, billing cycles, prices, renewal dates, trial end dates, categories, notes, and related metadata you add or confirm.
• Statement analysis data: files and extracted transaction content from statements you choose to upload for analysis and matching.
• Smart Import data: receipt text or screenshots you deliberately paste, select, or share so we can extract subscription, billing, trial, or cancellation details.
• Diagnostics and technical data: app/device diagnostics, crash data, performance logs, app version, and basic usage events.
• Purchase and entitlement data: subscription status and product identifiers from billing providers and app stores.
• Calendar integration: with your explicit permission, we may create events in your local calendar for subscription reminders. We do not read, collect, or store your personal calendar events.
• Support communications: information you send us via support channels.

3. Sensitive Data and Security Features

SubSense PRO includes security controls such as biometric app lock and encrypted local storage mechanisms. Where available, sensitive data is protected with industry-standard safeguards designed to reduce unauthorized access.

4. How We Use Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• To authenticate users and secure accounts.
• To enable subscription tracking, reminders, trial monitoring, analytics, and reporting features.
• To run AI-assisted features such as statement matching, user-requested trial extraction from a selected email, and discovery recommendations.
• To process subscription/paywall status and restore entitlements.
• To improve reliability, quality, and security (including crash and performance monitoring).
• To communicate service notices, support responses, and optional marketing updates (where consented).
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (Where Applicable)

Where required by law (for example GDPR jurisdictions), we process information based on:

• Contractual necessity: to provide the Service you requested.
• Consent: for optional features such as marketing emails and certain external account connections.
• Legitimate interests: product improvement, fraud prevention, and service security.
• Legal obligations: where processing is required by applicable law.

6. Third-Party Services and Processors

We may use trusted third-party providers to deliver parts of the Service, such as:

• Cloud backend, authentication, and database infrastructure (for example Supabase), including an authenticated function that relays user-selected email content for extraction.
• In-app purchase and entitlement management (for example RevenueCat and app stores).
• Authentication services (for example Google Sign-In).
• AI providers for supported features (for example Google Gemini), which process content the user deliberately submits to extract trial or subscription details.
• Brand-data providers (for example Logo.dev), which receive a service name or public company domain to return company logos and brand colors.
• Crash and performance monitoring services (for example Firebase Crashlytics).

These providers process data only as needed to deliver the user-facing features described in this Policy. We do not sell Google user data or use or transfer it for advertising, creditworthiness, or training generalized AI or machine-learning models.

7. Smart Import

Smart Import does not connect to or scan your inbox. It processes only the receipt text or screenshot you deliberately paste, select, or share into the feature. Submitted content is transmitted over HTTPS through an authenticated Supabase function to Google Gemini solely to extract subscription or trial details.

Submitted raw text is processed transiently and is not intentionally retained on our backend after extraction. Extracted details are retained only when you choose to save them, and you can delete saved details or request account deletion.

8. Notifications

SubSense PRO may send local or push reminders (for renewals/trials) based on your settings. You can disable notifications in app settings or your device settings.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods depend on data type, legal requirements, and your account status.

Raw Smart Import content is processed transiently; saved extracted details follow the retention and deletion choices described above.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ. Where required, we implement safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access and receive a copy of your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your data/account, subject to legal exceptions.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Withdraw consent (for consent-based processing).
• Data portability where applicable.

12. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@subsense.online from your registered account email, by using in-app account/support options when available, or by using our dedicated deletion page: https://www.subsense.online/account-deletion.

• We may verify your identity before processing deletion.
• Upon successful verification, we will delete or de-identify personal data associated with your account, except data we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution reasons.
• Deletion requests are typically completed within 30 days, subject to applicable law and technical constraints.

13. Children’s Privacy

SubSense PRO is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable minimum age.

14. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date. Material changes may be notified through the Service or other reasonable means.
